Critical Thinking Cap (CTC) is an e‑learning website offering informal lessons and activities on discerning, developing, and deploying critical thinking skills. It will guide adult learners through a fun, casual critical-thinking course inspired by the principles of microlearning.
Editorial infographics I
The YouthBuild Bulletin is an annual publication of YouthBuild USA. The 2014 edition features YouthBuild AmeriCorps and community service. In addition to designing the piece, I created a timeline of national service and copyedited much of the content.
Dog-breed interactive chart
This interactive graph was created as part of a final group project for a class on data visualization.The photo grid and individual graphs are generated on the fly via code I wrote in JavaScript and d3.js and a pet-registration data file of over 85,000 records. I also provided a color palette for the site.
Recipe writing and design
Assignment: Take the “back-of-the-bag” Toll House cookie recipe and write it in two different ways modeled after cookbooks, food magazines, food writers, or food blogs.
